What can’t Kim Jones do? The creative designer for Dior Men’s just announced his guest curatorialship for A Magazine Curated By, a magazine concept that invites a fashion designer to collaborate for each issue. The 19th edition of this features Jones as the man-in-charge of the ideation, and he has chosen to feature one of his best assets – his friends, allies, and fellow collaborators.

So how did he curate his issue alphabetically? From A for Naomi Campbell’s “Africa” to Z for Amanda Lear’s “Zero,” that’s how. His other friends that have contributed include Takashi Murakami, KAWS, Hajime Sorayama, and Raymond Pettibon.

A Magazine Curated By Kim Jones is now available online and will be available in print from June 10 onwards.

Prada stages its Spring/Summer 2020 menswear show in Shanghai

In the cavernous space of the Silo Hall in Mingsheng Wharf, Shanghai, Miuccia Prada established her dominance as one of the reigning designers of both womens and menswear with the Prada Spring/Summer 2020 menswear collection.

The collection was clearly aimed at the youth, with the silhouettes and the colours of the clothes channelling a sporty, vibrant mood despite its pastel-hued tones. Classic units of a mans wardrobe are given new proportions for a fresh perspective. Think long, untucked polos and baggy tank tops layered with suit jackets.

For the first time ever, Chloé is holding a fashion show outside of France. Natacha Ramsay-Levi dove deep into the rich archives of China’s cinematic history and showcased a beautiful collection of clothes that echoed the romance and drama of Chinese cinema.

Bright colours like orange and red were ever present, and patterns evocative of traditional Chinese textiles were put on front and centre.

Summer Shapewear You’ll Want in Your Wardrobe

Summer is here! It’s time to say goodbye to those oversized winter clothes and break out our favorite summer dresses. We clearly adore our feminine summer dresses – both the ones waiting patiently in our wardrobes and the new ones we are currently lusting over in stores.

However, it’s no secret that they aren’t as comfortable or forgiving as our winter knits. A lot of summer dresses tend to have body-hugging silhouettes that don’t forgive any bumps or lumps This is where shapewear comes in!

Shapewear has evolved immensely over the years, and there are many breathable options for the warm weather that help to slim and smooth your silhouette. With summer here, you’ll need some versatile pieces of shapewear to help get you through the season.

Mid-Thigh Body Shapers

These are the ultimate shapers for anyone wanting full body coverage, and can be used for all of your summer dresses – in particular for those tight, clingy, bodycon dresses. All mid-thigh body shapers will conform to your shape, while helping you achieve a figure-hugging, and more importantly, figure-flattering, silhouette!

Camisoles

Camisoles and tank tops are perfect for all summer dresses that are slightly more fitted at the top – such as fit and flare, A-line, or skater dresses. A lightweight cami means we can achieve that enviable smooth and slim shape without having to wear a full shapewear piece.

Additionally, our favorite 3-in-1 shaping cami is free of any bust-compressing features, which means we are one step closer to that hourglass figure we so desperately long for. Be sure to choose camisoles in neutral shades such as nude, white, and black to ensure they go with everything in your wardrobe!

Light Control Shaping Briefs

For all other dresses, you’ll want a pair of shaping briefs. They’re perfect for tucking your stomach in, and will keep you feeling secure all day and all night. They are also extremely comfortable and lightweight, making them perfect for long summer days.

We would wear these with everything from skater dresses to loose, flowing maxi dresses. The best part is that they aren’t just exclusive to dresses and skirts, either. They’re also great to wear with all of our summer pants – from cool white trousers to skinny jeans – as they will give a smooth, slim silhouette no matter what you wear!

As with all pieces of summer-ready shapewear, ensure your shaping briefs come in a breathable material to keep you cool in even the hottest of temperatures.

With summer already here, you don’t want anything holding you back from finally enjoying the warm weather. Stock up on these versatile shapewear pieces, dress to impress, and enjoy the beauty summer has to offer!
